Reports To: Landscape Maintenance Foreman
At Tentinger Landscapes, every employee plays a role in helping the company grow through quality work and reliable service. As a Landscape Maintenance Laborer, your primary responsibility is to support your crew by performing daily maintenance tasks on residential and commercial properties, ensuring the job is completed safely, efficiently, and up to Tentinger Landscapes’ high standards.
Specific Responsibilities Include:
1. Assist in performing routine landscape maintenance tasks such as mowing, trimming, edging, pruning, weeding, and seasonal clean-ups.
2. Operate landscaping tools and equipment safely and efficiently (mowers, trimmers, blowers, etc.).
3. Follow direction from the Crew Leader or Foreman to complete tasks on schedule.
4. Maintain cleanliness and organization of tools, equipment, and job sites
5. Report any equipment malfunctions, safety concerns, or job site issues promptly.
6. Ensure all work meets company quality standards and customer expectations.
7. Participate in daily setup and cleanup of trucks, trailers, and equipment.
8. Follow all safety protocols and contribute to a safe work environment.
Qualifications:
1. Previous experience in landscape maintenance or outdoor labor preferred but not required.
2. Ability to operate or willingness to learn how to use landscape maintenance equipment.
3. Reliable, punctual, and able to work well as part of a team.
4. Strong work ethic and attention to detail.
5. Valid driver’s license preferred (but not required).
6. Ability to work outdoors in a variety of weather conditions.
7. Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physically demanding tasks.
WORKING CONDITIONS
Full-time, Monday–Friday
Seasonal overtime and occasional Saturdays as needed
Physically demanding work: lifting up to 50 lbs, standing, bending, kneeling for extended periods
Outdoor environment, subject to weather conditions (heat, cold, rain, snow) conditions and/or cramped spaces. The conditions at these locations are not within the control of Tentinger Landscapes.
Some work is performed in the vicinity of operating machinery or other items with sharp edges, pinch points, and motion, in sometimes hazardous conditions.
